Indelligence is a privately owned company headquartered in Australia. We have consultants residing in both North and South India enabling us to develop a real time understanding of local issues on both continents.

Our consultants have hands-on experience in dealing with all aspects of doing business in India and bring expertise across all facets of business development including strategy, market research, legal, accounting, financing, partner selection, and lobbying.

We are an independent entity and maintain no affiliations with other organisations. Accordingly, we only have our clients’ best interests as our focus.

 

Our People

Sameer Kalra (Sydney)

Sameer started working in the shipping industry as a merchant mariner and gained exposure to a range of cultures in his voyages across the globe. After an early command, he progressed to overseeing the operation of a fleet of bulk-carriers out of London. In this role, Sameer was responsible for the chartering, sale and purchase of the carriers.

After a move to Australia in 1999, he set up trading businesses for the import of finished goods, commodities, IT services and business process outsourcing (BPO) and has successfully built relationships with exporters in India, China, Indonesia and Pakistan.

Sameer has the innate ability to simplify and realise concepts and build cross-cultural rapport while keeping a focus on achieving key business parameters.

Rajiv Jain (New Delhi)

Rajiv is a successful businessman operating in the Indian capital of New Delhi. As an experienced chartered accountant, he built a sizable accounting and tax practice and sold it to a major accounting group in his earlier years.

Rajiv subsequently acquired and has grown a food & beverage distribution including that of PepsiCo products in the New Delhi/NCR region. His business acumen, skills and political connections throughout India enable him to provide invaluable insight and guidance for companies seeking to enter the Indian market.

Moreover, Rajiv has contacts with politicians and bureaucrats, this activity also entails participating in trade delegations across a range of industries and regions.

Andrew Warburton (Sydney)

Andrew has over 25 years experience in senior strategic and operational roles in a range of businesses from start-ups to large, listed corporations. He has worked in several countries and across a number of industries so understands global business.

A large portion of Andrew’s experience has involved in assisting businesses to grow through accessing new domestic and foreign markets, introducing new products or activities, and making acquisition.

Andrew’s skills in strategy and market analysis combined with his business management experience will assist our clients in refining their plans as well as translating these into execution.

Prashant Tikmani (Chennai)

Prashant is the managing director of Tikmani Group Of Industries (TGI), the largest paper board corrugators in India.

He started the business in 1994 in Chennai, the largest commercial and industrial centre in South India, and has grown it to its present size. Prashant has also diversified over the years by developing business interests in the pharmaceuticals, textiles, warehousing and real estate industries.

His hands-on knowledge and can-do approach to business and his finely honed understanding of risk and return are indispensible for businesses seeking to enter the Indian market.

Tarini Kalra (Sydney)

Tarini is an admitted solicitor and holds law and commerce degrees from the University of New South Wales. She has worked in tax advisory in a big four consulting group and at the Federal Treasury in the areas of taxation, banking regulation and infrastructure.

Tarini is able to advise on the cross-border implications of investments and income from a compliance perspective. She also speaks fluent Hindi and German.

Rakesh Aggarwal (New Delhi)

Rakeshis currently the managing director of Kismet Industries, India’s largest manufacturer of excavator attachments and couplers.

Concurrently, Rakesh has worked as a senior journalist and as a consultant on the editorial board of The Economic Times, a leading Indian business newspaper. Rakesh is also a trained physician and has completed graduate studies in biotechnology and neuroscience.

Rakesh’s multifaceted experiences provide him with a nuanced understanding of government policy in India with a particular focus on small business issues and health and environmental policy.
